Woodstock 50th Anniversary

Join us from Friday, May 10th to Sunday, May 19th for the display of a newly-curated collection of art by the legendary Peter Max, presented by the world-renowned curator, Lesley Smith. Max’s remarkable paintings will be on exhibition and available for acquisition in a limited engagement presentation.

With artworks on display in hundreds of museums and galleries worldwide, Peter Max and his vibrant colors have become part of the fabric of contemporary culture. He has been regularly called a pop icon, neo-fauvist, abstract expressionist, and the United States “painter laureate.” This one-of-a-kind presentation will also feature some of his best-known pieces, among them the Woodstock Commemorative, “Statue of Liberty”, famous “Flag” pieces, “Umbrella Man”, and the prestigious “Cosmic Runner.” As the official artist of the Grammys and of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Max has famously painted some of the world’s most beloved figures, including Taylor Swift, judges from NBC’s “The Voice”, and the last 7 presidents of the United States, to name a few. This never-before-seen collection of the artist’s most famous work spanning 6 decades serves as a tribute to the man who sparked a new visual culture.

We hope you will come to celebrate the artistic vision of Peter Max, an American icon who helped to define the genre of pop art.
