Flight to Palermo (Return flight from Catania)

Day 2, April 6

Get a transfer bus to City Center then a taxi to “Camplus Palermo”... Get some rest!

Afternoon: Visit of the city center, Massimo Theater, Piazza Pretoria, Palermo cathedral.

 

 

 

 

Dinner together at “Pomo & Pomo Sikulo Emporio”

Day 3, April 7

Street food and local Market tasting tour.
Art afternoon: art studio visit. Meeting with Daniela Balsamo, a very talented local artist.
Free time, dinner on your own.

Day 4, April 8

 

Sightseeing of the Western part of Sicily! 

Visit of several towns, beautiful beaches and landscapes.

Departure 10 am, return to Palermo around 6:30pm.
Road trip to Mondello, lunch in Mondello “Poldo 2 Mondello” San Vito Lo Capo & Erice

Day 5, April 9

Departure for Catania 9:30 am
Road trip to Cefalu, visit of the Cathedral with Byzantine fresco, lunch together in Cefalu,
visit of Enna, the Belvedere of Sicily (inland and on the top of a hill), Castle of Lombardia, Duomo…
Arrival at Catania around 6:30 pm.

Check in at the hotel/apartment “Dada House”

Day 6 , April 10

10:00am - 12:00 pm Guided Visit of Catania

Visit of the museum Diocesano, sacred art
Lunch on own, Free afternoon
Let’s meet for a cocktail at the pittoresque, “la traversina”, a narrow pittoresque street of
Catania, full of nightlife.

Dinner together.

Day 7, April 11

​

Road trip, visit of Nicolosi, at the foot of Etna volcano. Visit of a Madonna della Rocca,
pilgrimage spot where Virgin Mary appeared. Lunch at “La baita di Rosemary”
Hike around Etna volcano, Rifugio Sapienza.
Return to Catania around 6:30 pm, free time, dinner on own.

Day 8, April 12

​

Departure 1:30 pm.

Trip to Savoca and Forza D’Agro, small town where “The Godfather” movie was filmed.

Dinner at restaurant il Commercio in Catania…a very special place.

Day 9, April 13

​

Departure 10:00 am
Road trip to Notto, finest example of Italian baroque from
the 18th century. Lunch together.
Visit of Modica, pittoresque town,chocolate capital
Return to Catania 6:30 pm.

Day 10, April 14
Morning / Return flight to the US.
