Watercolor 23 x 30

Based on the composition from the 1973 release of Distant Hills by the jazz band Oregon. They play a mix of American jazz and world music and was founded in 1970 by Ralph Towner, Paul McCandless, Glen Moore, and Colin Walcott. They qiuckly

established themselves as of the leading improvisational groups of its day, blending Indian and Western classical music with jazz, folk space music and avantgarde elements. Interesting note: Two lunar craters were names by the Apollo 15 astronauts after two of Towner’s compositions, “Icarus” and “Ghost Beads”
